In the music industry there are not many that learn to pave their own way. It is a cut throat business that can make you or break you. Yet when you combine talent and the strength of family your chances are much greater to succeed. Dean Vali and the Vali family are one such example of perseverance.

Since Dean was a young boy he was always surrounded with the sounds of music. His father for one was an active musician who introduced Dean to the wonderful world of music. Dean’s father Gus Vali was a well known accomplished musician who earned his Masters from the Manhattan School Of Music. Gus soon took Dean under his wing and would show him the ropes. His father would soon form a Greek band that would pave the way for many more to come. The Greek community at the time did not have a band solely dedicated to their ethnic music for their events. Gus Valli filled that void.
